I KNOCKED A PIZZA DOWN

I found a whole pizza, but it was up in the trees,
Don't know how it got there, but there was a steady breeze,
It took me quite a bit,
But, I found a long stick,
I caught the sausage pizza, and added cheddar cheese.

PIE SAFE SAFTY

There was a great river that fell from the sky,
It crashed on my trailer, and I thought I'd die,
My trailer has leaks,
It's full of antiques,
To great grandma's old pie safe, I said "goodbye".

THE FUNNEL CLOUD DISASTER POEM

Nature was roaring big and loud,
Then I spied the funnel cloud,
It swept away the stadium crowd
With human persons, it was well endowed,
I turned and ran; I was not proud.

I GOT CARRIED AWAY THIS FALL

My summer came to a fast crashing end,
I was caught in a tornado, and its rapid spin wind,
I was picked up in the air,
Pigs flew everywhere,
I woke in a distillery, my brain was so ginned .

Wind Blows Clunker Down

When the tornado came toward my bunker,
Down inside I chose to hunker,
With my dog named Dee,
And my cat named Lee,
The bunker survived by not my old clunker.

LAMENT FOR THE BABY PLANT

My tomato plant did not get very tall,
It was fine, until we had the snow squall
It would of had a life of green,
If the warm sun it had seen,
Poor thing, almost had no life at all.

UNDER THE BOOM, BOOM; PEANUT PIE FOR BREAKFAST

Lightning booming,  booming in the dark cloudy, morning sky,
It hits so close, me thinks I will be going bye, bye, bye,
What a way to die,
Like a burnt French fry,
Hope I don't burn to death, before I eat my peanut pie.

I NAILED TWO BOARDS TOGETHER

I nailed two boards together, but methinks those boards I should have screwed,
I did not have screws or a screwdriver, so I hammered and nailed, so crude,
Now the weather is getting bad,
My boards are loosening, so sad,
Soon my shack will blow away, and to the weather gods, I'll be nude.

THE EARLY CHRISTMAS TREE

I decided to get my Christmas tree early,
Because by Christmas they'll all be gone, surely,
I cut it down in the woods,
And against my outhouse it stoods,
But it lost the needles when the fall winds went whirly.

DISASTER, A MICHIGAN STORY

I about had a heart attack,
When the wind blew down my little shack,
It's the past, I won't look back
Lots of firewood to stack,
I'll winter warm, though walls I'll lack.

FIRST WEEK OF JUNE LIMERICK

The first week of June has started off with a storm,
And, isn't this the month when it's supposed to get warm?
But, by the feel of the breeze,
Methinks it might freeze,
I can see in the rain the ice crystals form.
