THE LIGHTNING STRIKE LIMERICK
There came up a lightning storm,
In my country that is the norm,
But, lightning hit me in the head,
I saw colors green, turquoise and red,
I passed out cold though the lightning was warm.

DOWN CAME THE OLD WHITE PINE LIMERICK
Down came the old white pine,
After a lightning bolt broke its spine,
Now, I'll use the branches and splinters,
For hearth fires in future winters,
And, leave the needles so the critters to dine.

THE LIGHTNING STRIKE LIMERICK
Bye, bye heat wave with the new falling rain,
But, the lightning strike has caused me so much pain,
I know that I’m not dead,
Cause I feel pain in my head, I can’t afford a hospital bed,
So, I’ll drink some homemade hooch instead.
