LITTLE WARNER WORKED A STREET CORNER

Little Skinny Warner,
Worked a street corner,
Selling chili with beans,

Little Skinny Warner,
Faked the accent of a foreigner,
To attract those customers with means,

Great Big Warner,
Worked a successful street coroner,
So successful that he burst out of his jeans.

MY LIZARD SCISSORED AND GOT AWAY

In the middle of a blizzard,
I went out to walk my lizard,
On my leg he took a wizard,
So I tried grabbing him by the gizzard,
Then into the woods he scissored.

That's how he got away.😭

AUF WIEDERSEHEN TO MAY

Auf Wiedersehen to May,
While a volcano spits away,
And, the suns getting hotter,
Dried ponds for the otter,
While polar bears move onto the clay,

Auf Wiedersehen to May,
The glaciers slide into the bay,
Migrationers don't fly,
And, the west lands go dry,
May June bring a much wetter day.

He needed the form,
Twas a pea corn born norm,
So he could bounce it off a tree.

DOUGLAS HAD AN OLD VCR

Douglas had an old VCR,
But, he couldn't find anything to play in it,
They no longer put movies on those old wind up tapes,
Instead, they use DVD’s and just spin it.

BONNIE THE BED WETTER BOUGHT TEN SETS OF SHEETS

Bonnie bought ten sets of sheets,
Because her accidents were repeats,
Bonnie bought six gallons of bleach,
Which turned pink sheets a white-peach,

Bonnie had bad times in bed,
It was like an ocean, enough said,
In Vegas it was a safe bet,
That poor Bonnie woke up wet.

I WAIL ON MY HORN WHEN, I LOSE MY CORN

Fall is here to freeze my corn,
I wish that fall was never born,
My last rose has died away,
I won't see  flowers until mid-May,
I be all tear drops forlorn,
I guess I'll wail on my English horn.

MY INGROWN TOE-NAIL

My ingrown toe-nail I can't lie,
Made my bug eyes cry and cry,
It was such pain,
I became insane,
I sliced off my toe nail with a wood plane
.

THE CHRISTMAS BEAR

Over there I saw the Christmas Bear,
He roared and gave me quite a scare,
I petted his head,
He knocked me down dead,
Petting the Christmas bear was an error.

THE FISH WITH JUST ONE FIN

There once was a fish with just one fin,
He swam around and around again,
All in circles he went,
Till his fuel was all spent,
Then a big catfish made him his din.

CAROLINE WAS THE LIGHT ON THE BAY

Caroline was the light on the bay,
When she left the light faded away,
I promised that I would change,
But, my voice was out of range,
Now my heart breaks with each passing day.

THE FEDS, MY FAMILY AND ME

I got home just in time to take my meds,

But, they were confiscated by the Feds,

My family accused of being reds,

Now, we sleep in cages on bunk beds.

OF KITES AND KINGS

The reign of kings and dictates of the state,
Their engine speaks without review of choice,
The masses, millions, live from fate to fate,
Their cries are silenced by the nobler voice.

The technocrats, the learned contemplate,
Their, marbled halls and golden domes so grand,
Their seaside towns where they can recreate,
And, celebrate the powers in their hand.

The millions work and let their leaders play;
No land, no strength, no powers can they sight;
The rich man's clout shall rule beyond today;
The poor mans luck goes crashing like a kite.

The kings by choice, they soar above the ground,
By winds and strings the kites drift ever down.

THERE WAS A GIRL FROM TRAVERSE CITY

There was a girl from Traverse City,
Her eyes were bright her hair was pretty.
She laid in the sun,
Till she was well done,
Now her skin is all withered and gritty.

REVENGE

Vengeance is a lonely child,
Kept pregnant deep within,
When let loose it's mind is wild,
The base of original sin.

SOLID MORNING FOG By Leigh Collin Brandt

VERSE I
Solid morning fog,

Sweet vapors of yesterday,

Melting into dresms.

VERSE II
The thick morning fog,

Sweet vapors of yesterday,

Melting into sunbeams.

THERE ONCE WAS A GIRL NAMED TAYLOR

There once was a girl named Taylor,

She went to college at Baylor,

But, when she went home,

It was too cold in Nome,

So then she ran off with a sailor.
