STICKER TICKER SHOCK

I went to buy meat and was shocked by the sticker,
The price was so high that it shut down my ticker,
When revived, I went to the bar,
And received one more jar,
At the price I was charged for my liquor.

THE BARGAIN STORE

I went shopping for bargains at the bargain store,
But, when I wanted a bargain I ended up paying more,
I went consumer empowered,
But, with high prices got showered,
I came home with high priced items and poor.

MY GREAT EXPECTATIONS

I was born having great expectations,

Alas, they stayed only aspirations,

For when I grew up,

It took all my coin just to sup,

In mom's basement, smoking my medications.

NEW CRACKERS ARE TOO EXPENSIVE

I paid too much for saltine crackers I bought new,

I paid too much for oyster crackers I bought new too,

Crackers are priced like high end beef,

I feel like I've been robbed by a thief,

I guess I'll just shop online for crackers sold "like new."

MY GROCER, HIGH PRICES AND ME

I went to the grocer but his prices were high,
I said with my small budget those prices wouldn't fly,
The grocer said, "my costs have gone wild,
I built a new mansion that's styled,
My builder gave me a similar reply."
