THE CRY OF THE CATFISH
I looked that big, old catfish straight in his bulging, fishy eye,
I swear I saw some unhappy tears, and watched the fat fish, cry,
My knife was full out,
His life was in doubt,
I quickly stabbed him in the head, and prepared his bod to fry.

THE PERCH THAT BEGGED HAD NO LEGS
The big perch I caught last night, had a big yellow belly,
His lips, tight as wires, and he was awfully smelly,
The perch begged and said, "Please, Please, Please,
If I had legs, I'd be on my knees,
Let me go and your kindness, I'll broadcast like a telly."
Epilogue
Fish tastes so good with lemon, and a dusting of white pepper and sea salt.

MABEL COOKED FOR HER PET MOUSE
Mabel made a dish of fresh grouse,
She made it for her little pet mouse,
The mouse would not eat the dish,
He preferred to eat only fish,
So, Mabel went fishing for the louse.
